Halloween!!

Halloween has it's origins in early Scottish Celtic culture.  Originally a turnip Jack O Lantern was carved (pumpkins are a North American plant and were substituted for Jack O Lantern's when the Irish and Scots settled in the new world.) A larger Swede turnip, indigenous to the British Isles would have been used.  The purple and white variety are also native to America.
